Dr Kehdi is an eye surgeon with special interest in childrens eye conditions such as squint. He has a subspeciality in paediatric glaucoma. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. Dr Kehdi obtained speciality training at Sydney Eye Hospital followed by two fellowships in the UK at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, with intense focus on surgical and medical treatment of paediatric glaucoma.
Dr Kehdi has surgical skills in various areas of ophthalmology such as cataract surgery, and various glaucoma surgeries including goniotomy, trabeculectomy and tube drainage surgery. In addition, he also manages treatment of squint including both surgical and non surgical options.
Dr Kehdi has published a number of peer-reviewed publications and authored many presentations and posters, in particular on congenital cataract.
As well as teaching, Dr Kehdi is actively involved in the community. He has taken part in many charitable activities, such as volunteering for the Lebanese Red Cross and participating in the Armenian Eye Care Project in both a surgical and teaching capacity. He regularly visits Armenia where he is currenlty involved in setting up a formal training program for the local doctors.
Dr Kehdi is fluent in English, Arabic and Armenian.
